2004 Silver Grey E46 M3 - Recaro Sportster CS & Stoptech Big Brake Kit

Sometimes, when you've had a car for a few years, it's good to change things up. This 2004 M3 had been owned by its driver for a long while and has remained mostly stock for their ownership. Being a long-time EAS customer with multiple BMWs, this M3's owner decided that this classic beauty was in need of some upgrades. The factory seats at this point were looking tired and had worn-out bolsters. So in went a pair of Recaro Sportster CS Reclining Seats, breathing new life into the 15-year old interior. Despite being a more modern seat design, the Sportster CS didn't look out of place at all in the E46's cockpit.

  4. Torque 88 Silverstone Metallic E92 M3

Jam packed with many features, this Silverstone Metallic E92 M3 loves to hit the track. Typically, sitting on two different sets of wheels don’t give the best appearance, however this car can certainly pull it off with its TE37 SL wheels in the rear and Apex EC7 wheels in the front. Running a square setup of 285/30ZR18 with Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tires front and back, this E92 without a doubt grips the road. Aiding in that grip is the APR Racing Front Lip Spoiler, rear diffuser, and the rear wing, when it’s on that is. On the trunk there are carbon fiber rear spoiler rail mounts that allow the wing to be taken on and off for before, during, and after the track day.

  5. StopTech on an E92 M3

Fitted with a large single piston caliper and drilled rotors, the E92 M3s braking capabilities were questioned when the car first came out, specifically because of the single piston caliper. Although large, driving enthusiasts found the brakes not very effective with extensive track time. The owner of this M3 decided it was time for an upgrade, choosing the StopTech BBK (Big Brake Kit). The chosen StopTech BBK features a front 6-piston and rear 4-piston caliper as well as slotted rotors and stainless steel brake lines.

  6. Silver Grey Metallic E46 M3 Gets Up To Speed With Recaro

Whether on the street or on the track, every driver wants to be comfortable. Switching out from his OMP racing seats, the owner of this Silver Grey Metallic E46 M3 decided to throw in some Recaro Speed seats. These Recaro seats aren’t the regular Speed seats by any means, featuring Black Avus Bolsters, Black Avus Insert Material, and a Red Recaro Logo and stitching, as well as a cutout in the center of the seat. Why a hole in the seat? Being a track enthusiast, the OMP seats that were previously installed no longer suited the owner’s needs, whereas the newly fitted Recaro seats now allowed for a 5 or 6 point racing harness.

  7. Super Clean Jet Black E46 M3

With just under 25,000 miles on the odometer, this mint condition 2004 M3 is like a time capsule. The 10 year old Jet Black paint is mirror finish perfect, the interior is absolutely pristine and even the undercarriage looks brand new. This E46's condition alone would make it worthy of admiration, but it also happens to feature some sweet modifications as well. Giving this M3 is sporty ride height and handling is a set of KW V3 coilovers and the new Yokohama ADVAN AD08R tires. Adding to the dark personality of the car is a set of 18" Volk TE37 wheels in matte black, whose offsets are dialed in using Macht Schnell wheel spacers. Lurking just behind the JDM wheels are the high performance AP Racing brakes, which boldly make themselves known by their bright red calipers. Dinan components include an intake, strut bar and exhaust, while AC Schnitzer parts decorate the interior. Enjoy.

  8. Alpine White M3 Sedan Gets Blue StopTech Brakes

After installing a set of the most lusted after wheels, it became obvious that the stock brakes just weren't going to cut it anymore. The minimalist spoke pattern of the BBS FI wheel creates an open window to the brakes lurking behind; for this customer, FIs and OEM brakes were hardly an ideal match. Opting for a set of StopTech ST big brakes, the owner of this Alpine White E90 M3 took the opportunity to do things a little bit differently. Rather than going with the popular red or yellow caliper options, he chose blue. The end result works perfectly with the car, with blue looking more subtle than the traditional options but still providing the BBK flair that everyone wants.

  9. Supercharged M3 gets an Akra and StopTech BBK

The first time this 2013 Silverstone II E92 M3 came to us, it went straight for the supercharger treatment. With the exception of a set of Work Emotion CR Ultimate wheels, this M3 maintained a mostly stock, sleeper appearance with an ESS VT2-625 supercharger lurking under the hood. As time passed though, the persistent mod-bog bit more and more. During this M3's most recent visit we had the opportunity to fit it with a black StopTech big brake kit and a 100% titanium Akrapovic slip-on exhaust. The new additions give this E92 an aggressive tone, reduce weight and dramatically increase its stopping ability without ruining its subtle, sleeper appearance too much.

  10. Interlagos Blue VF620 M3 Sedan at Sonoma Raceway

This frequent customer of ours and the owner of this Interlagos Blue E90 M3 is addicted to track days. When this car first came into our shop it was in 100% bone stock form; that same day we installed a 620hp supercharger kit. Since then we've seen this car slowly evolve into the subtle, purpose built track-day/daily-driver machine that it is now. Equipped with a set of high-end and exclusive JRZ coilovers, super lightweight 10" wide APEX wheels, ultra sticky Hankook Ventus TD tires, powerful AP Racing brakes and Vorshlag adjustable camber plates, this is one of the best feeling M3's we've had the pleasure of driving. Here are some photos by Cali Photography from a recent track day event at Sonoma Raceway. Enjoy.
