  1. Return of the Imola Red F80

Named after the Imola F1 track in San Marino, Italy, Imola Red emerged due to Ralf Schumacher of Germany scoring his first win with BMW Williams in his FW-23. First seen on the E46, the color has become an icon for BMW M cars. Here at EAS we absolutely love the look of an Imola Red E92 M3, but seeing the paint on the F80 M3 always blows us away. Why aren’t there more new M3s with this color roaming about? Because the paint is only available through BMW’s Individual program.

  2. An Evolution Racewerks Upgrade

Searching for more power? A downpipe is an excellent source for horsepower! Since a turbocharger is essentially a pump, it’s important for the pipes leading up to and exiting the turbo to have unrestricted airflow. Factory downpipes generally are highly restrictive as they have catalyst material formed into "honeycomb" weaves. Exhaust gas must pass through these tiny "honeycomb" weaves on their way to the exhaust system thus causing a major exhaust flow restriction. It also causes turbulence after the catalytic converter which causes the exhaust flow to slow down.

  3. Exhaust Tuning an M4

This M4 gives a stock appearance however, quite the opposite is true. There are many parts to a complete exhaust system, but downpipes are a quick upgrade that can also increase performance. We installed Evolution Racewerks Downpipes on this M4 also adding as ESS E-Tronic Tuner and Macht Schnell Exhaust Valve Control Module. Whether you want your exhaust to be loud or quiet, the Macht Schnell EVC Module allows for full control over the exhaust at the touch of a button. A large horsepower increase of 50-60 whp is readily made available with the ESS E-Tronic Tuner that we installed in this car. Thanks to the E-Tronic, which has a sophisticated multi channel controller that has RPM and MAF integration, there is full control of boost at all RPM ranges and proper AFR calibrations that don't require splicing in to any factory wiring.

  4. Imola Red F80 M3

Imola Red was one of the colors that BMW offered on the original M3 sedan, the E36. Fast forward about twenty years, and the only way to get your hands on an Imola Red F80 M3 is through BMW's Individual program.  It's worth it though; just look at this car! From the factory it's been fitted with carbon ceramic brakes, a Silverstone interior and a manual transmission. A KW HAS sleeve-over system dialed in the ride height for a sportier stance and improved response. For some extra power we installed an ESS E-Tronic tuner in combination with some Evolution Racewerks downpipes, which is a very potent combination. The exterior has been kept simple, with only the M Performance carbon fiber splitters and lip giving the front end a more aggressive look. With a paint job like this, sometimes less is more. Enjoy.

This M4 caught everyone's attention when it rolled into the shop; we've never seen anything like it! The exterior has been adorned with some M Performance goodies, including the carbon fiber rear spoiler and the carbon fiber front spoilers, and even though the rest of the car is chromed, the OEM kidney grilles and side markers were swapped with some gloss black replacements. 6. Sakhir M3 Gets a Set of Downpipes and Some Carbon

Coming to us in its stock form, this Sakhir Orange M3 got quite the list of modifications installed during its visit. First on the list was swapping out the OEM downpipes for a set of Zima Motorsports downpipes. Featuring a catless design and a black ceramic thermal coat, the free-flowing Zima downpipes extract additional power and torque from the S55 and decrease turbo lag. Next we added some carbon fiber pieces to make a more aggressive exterior, including the RKP front lip, 3D Design side skirts, IND kidney grilles, M Performance mirrors, an M Performance diffuser and an M Performance spoiler. Inside, we installed the M Performance steering wheel, DCT shift knob, DCT console trim and handbrake to give this F80 a true motorsport look and feel. IND color-matched front reflectors gave the finishing touches to this clean and sporty sedan. Enjoy!

  7. We Make a Moonstone M6 Roar

This beautiful Moonstone Metallic M6 swung by our shop for a new exhaust and some improved exterior cosmetics. Wanting something that would really bring the S63Tu twin turbo V8 to life the owner of this Gran Coupe opted for the Eisenmann race exhaust system, which is hand made in Germany using 100% stainless steel. Further up the exhaust system, we swapped out the restrictive OEM downpipes with a set of AMS stainless steel catless downpipes. The new downpipes will allow for more power, quicker turbo spooling and all around better responsiveness. Like nearly every other BMW that we see here, this F06 lost its chrome pieces in trade of some sleeker gloss black ones, and had its front and rear reflectors replaced with color matched ones. An M Performance carbon fiber trunk spoiler added the finishing touch to this loud and aggressive M6. Check out the video below to hear it roar! Enjoy.

  8. Sleeper 335i Gets APEX ARC-8 Wheels

This clean Alpine White 335i came to our facility for a set of new wheels. Wanting an option that was both strong and lightweight, the owner of this E90 decided on the popular 18" APEX ARC-8s. Featuring classic CSL styling and a beautiful hyper silver finish, these flow formed ARC-8 wheels were the perfect choice for this sedan. You wouldn't think so just by looking at it, but this subtle E90 is actually putting down 438hp & 471ft-lbs tq at the wheels; those numbers are actually higher than the F8X M3s & M4s! Because of this we mounted up some sticky Michelin PSS tires, which are the very same ones you'll find on a new F8X. With its long list of unseen modifications and a new set lightweight wheels, this sleeper sedan is ready to run on the street or track. Enjoy!

  9. Space Gray M5 Gets a Sporty Stance & Downpipes

The F10 M5 is an understated beast that really deserves a better stance than how it comes from the factory. Realizing this, the owner of this Space Gray M5 came to our facility for some Macht Schnell wheel spacers and a set of H&R sport springs. These two popular modifications work together by bringing the car lower to the ground while pushing the OEM wheels out to their proper places, creating an aggressive and sporty stance. While it was on our lift, we also installed a set of catless downpipes for increased horsepower and faster turbo spooling. Gloss black kidney grilles & side markers, IND painted reflectors and matte black painted wheels give the finishing touches to this twin turbo V8 sedan. Enjoy.

  10. Yas Marina Blue M4 Gets Akrapovic Downpipes

After its previous visits, in which it was fitted with Apex wheels, KW suspension, an Akrapovic exhaust and some exterior pieces, this Yas Marina Blue M4 returned for a set of downpipes. To correspond with its Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system, this F82 opted for the new Akrapovic stainless steel catless downpipes. This being the first set of Akra downpipes we've had the opportunity to install, we were blown away by their craftsmanship upon opening the box. Featuring laser cut flanges, cast ends with integrated O2 bungs, OEM quality heat shielding and flex joints, these downpipes are certainly on par with Akrapovic's usual standard of excellence. Once installed, we strapped this M4 to our dyno, where it put down 442hp and 433ft-lbs tq at the wheels without a tune. It also made quite a bit of noise as well! Check out the video below to hear this F82 in action. Enjoy.
