  1. 2020 Frozen Grey II G29 Z4 M40i - Dyno

    2020 Frozen Grey II G29 Z4 M40i - Dyno

After a brief absence on the market, the Z4 is back! This Frozen Grey Z4 M40i stopped by to get some numbers on our dyno. As usual, BMW understated the car's advertised power output (382 HP at the crankshaft) as this stock Z4's B58 generated an impressive 381 horsepower at the wheels! We are definitely looking forward to seeing how much power bolt-ons and a proper tune will yield on this hot roadster. We also hope to see its fixed-roof Japanese cousin stop by in the near future...

  2. 2019 Long Beach Blue F87 M2 Competition - Dyno

    2019 Long Beach Blue F87 M2 Competition - Dyno

The standard M2 is already a great performance car. But when one throws in the S55 from the F8x M3/M4, the result is the fire-breathing M2 Competition. After putting one on our dyno, we found out that the M2C is about ~20whp shy of M3/M4 numbers, likely through factory de-tuning. We'll see what numbers we can reach once tuned as well as compare other M2Cs as they come through the doors. This particular M2C also received an alcantara-wrapped BMW M Performance Steering Wheel.

  3. 2017 Austin Yellow F80 M3 - 100% E85 Bootmod3 Tune + Pure Turbos Stage 2 Upgrade

    2017 Austin Yellow F80 M3 - 100% E85 Bootmod3 Tune + Pure Turbos Stage 2 Upgrade

The F80 M3 is a fast car out of the box. But for some, the stock power output simply isn't enough. It's not uncommon for someone to throw power mods at their car and nothing else. The owner of this F80 M3 however was more thoughtful about choices in mods. The owner desired 700+ at the wheels and did so by way of a 100% E85 Tune and a turbo upgrade. To help tame that power, a set of bigger brakes also came into play.

  4. 2017 Mineral White F80 M3 ZCP - Custom E85 Tune (722 whp!)

    2017 Mineral White F80 M3 ZCP - Custom E85 Tune (722 whp!)

Another Bootmod3 OBD2-flashed car is in the 700 Horsepower Club! This M3 was custom-tuned on our in-house Dynojet with Cary Jordan's E85 Bootmod3 flash tune. The Pure Stage 2 turbos really flexed their muscles while laying down fantastic numbers. The drastic gains with E85 make stock runs are barely visible on the chart. Peak power was 722 whp @ 675 wtq, showing a whopping 283 whp gain over stock! Torque was dialed back slightly as clutch slippage was present at wide-open throttle. This is one M3 that is very civil for a night out on the town with all hell breaking loose when the pedal is mashed to the floor.

  9. Mineral White F82 M4 - Quite The Package

The S55 engine is a highly capable motor in the newer M3 and M4. Being taken to the track fairly often, the owner of this Mineral White F82 was seeking more performance to decrease lap times. When preparing a car for the track, safety should come before anything. In the event of an accident the driver must be in as good preparation as possible. Following behind safety is usability and functionality. Although price tags can be rather high, the money spent on performance aftermarket components is well worth it as most high end manufacturers goals are to exceed and outperform original manufacturer components.

  10. ESS Powered M3

At the time of its release, BMW purists were more or less opposed to the new M3. Arguments surrounded the fact that the V8 would make the car too heavy. Producing around 350 horsepower to the wheels, the M3 was a more than capable car for the about 1580kg (3483 lbs) curb weight, comparing to the current coupe, (F82 M4) which has a curb weight of about 1497kg (3300 lbs). The F82 has about 425 horsepower however. Lucky for the owner of this M3, we fitted it was an ESS VT2-625 Supercharger system. The VT2-625 adds quite a significant amount of horsepower, rising the roughly 350whp to about 530whp on this car, making a nearly 50% horsepower increase at about 7 PSI.

Having a device to display information like boost or oil pressure or various temperatures is essential when having a supercharger in your car. The Awron DGA Guage is the all in one display that does just that. This 20-in-1 gauge is the perfect option for track enthusiasts, supercharged cars or for those just wanting to add some flair and functionality to the M3's interior!
