Jet Black E92 M3 - ESS Tuning G1 Supercharger System

Our E92 M3 project is now a host to the new ESS Tuning G1 Intercooled Supercharger System! Prior the the install of the supercharger, the only mechanical modification done to the S65 of our M3 were Macht Schnell Bypass Track Pipes and a Macht Schnell Stage 2 Intake Charge Kit. Bolting on the G1 supercharger with the 96.5mm pulley had our M3 go from 377 WHP/279 WTQ to a whopping 548 WHP/366 WTQ! Dyno sheets are near the bottom of the of this post.

  6. E9X Exhaust Shootout!

Saturday morning on November 14, 2015, European Auto Source served as host to an E9X Meet and Exhaust Shootout! M3 owners from various regions attended the event either rolling in on their own or with a caravan formed at the crack of dawn and taking a nice, low traffic, morning cruise to the event. M3s of all colors and builds were in attendance ranging from full stock to intense race or show builds. Beginning the event with the revving of an E93 with a stock system, the benchmark was set for all the exhaust systems to come. Megan Racing catback and axleback systems seemed to be a favorite but systems from a wide range of manufactures were present. These manufacturers included RPI, IPE, Megan Racing, M Performance, Akrapovic, Macht Schnell, Turner, Active, Meisterchaft, Dinan, Eisenmann, Magnaflow, Unique, ARK, TopSpeed, Challenge, Armytrix, Remus, and American Racing.

After hearing all the cars from both parked and rolling positions, it’s hard to decide just what exhaust would be the choice option. Each system is unique and delivers different performance, sound, and looks. Stay tuned for an exhaust comparison video!

  7. Alpine White M3 Convertible on the Dyno

Compared to the coupes and sedans, modified M3 convertibles are pretty rare to come by. This Alpine White E93 dropped by our facility for some basic maintenance and a dyno session. Fitted with all the standard bolt-on power modifications, such as a tune, intake, pulley, track pipes and exhaust, this M3 put down 376hp and 271ft-lbs tq at the wheels. Quite a bit of work went into giving this vert a properly unique and aggressive exterior, from the super low stance, 20" wheels, gloss black accents, custom headlights, tinted taillights and carbon fiber all around. This M3 also sounds as mean as it looks, which gives onlookers twice the reason to turn their heads when it drives by. Enjoy!

  8. Macht Schnell 15/12mm Spacers Installed on E93 M3

Even on a bone stock M3, a set of Macht Schnell wheel spacers really helps to give the car a proper stance. This E93 has 15mm spacers in the front and 12mm spacers in the rear.

  9. Akrapovic Evolution Installed on an M3 Convertible

We installed another Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust yesterday, this time on an E93 M3. Being substantially heavier that its coupe and sedan counterparts, the 50lbs weight reduction was a welcome modification for the convertible. To squeeze even more power out of the S65 V8, we also installed the Macht Schnell Stage 2 Intake Charge Kit, that in combination with the exhaust, gained 27hp and 21lbs-ft toque at the wheels. Lastly, to fix the sloppy manual shifter, the OEM unit was replaced with the super high-quality Rogue Engineering Octane Short Shift Kit for those precise, bolt-action-rifle shifts.
