  1. VTT "Spline Lock" CrankHub Solution & Crank Bolt Capture For BMW N54/N55/S55

VTT "Spline Lock" CrankHub Solution & Crank Bolt Capture For BMW N54/N55/S55

We are happy to announce that VTT is offering the only complete S55 crank hub solution that does NOT require the crank to be drilled for pins. VTT's uses their proprietary "SplineLock" technology that uses high tolerance machined splines which press into the crank, and positively lock the hub to the crank to prevent slippage. The splines are machined in such a way that rotational forces drive the hub, and splines deeper into the crank meaning when the hub encounters a situation that would normally slip a stock hub the splined hub is driven into the crank to keep it in place (much like a splined extractor). VTT has spent many months testing, and retesting this design, utilizing well over 10 different samples to come to their final production version.

  4. 2016 Fire Orange F83 M4

Introduced to the BMW world via the E92 M3 GTS, Fire Orange has been a color worn on only a few BMW vehicles. We’ve seen other BMWs in Fire Orange like an M6 and of course Lime Rock Park M3s, but for the new generation of F8X cars this M4 was a first for us.

  6. F83 M4 - MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust

As common as F80 M3s and F82 M4s are becoming, the F83 M4 Convertible isn’t seen around just as much. It is simply awesome to be able to take the performance of an M3/M4 and be able to drop the top down any time you like! Being nearly entirely the same, the F83 M4 can be mostly modified just like the F82 M4 Coupe counterpart. The owner of this car was seeking some more noise and a wider stance so we got him set up with a set of spacers and a system that was sure to satisfy the crave.

  7. F83 M4 Rollin' With The Top Down

Just like the existing M3 and M4 models, the M4 Convertible is also powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo straight six engine that pumps out 317kW (425hp) and 550Nm (405 ft-lb of torque). Despite carrying around an extra 250kg (550 lbs) over the coupe, the open-top M4 can still reach its 60mph mark in a fairly snappy 4.4 seconds, which is three tenths slower than the coupe. Being an M Performance model, the drop-top M4 is lower, wider, and all around more aggressive than the 4 series convertibles.

This Alpine White F83 M4 holds quite a unique look with its painted M Performance Front Lip, Carbon Fiber Splitters, and side skirts. The paint matched parts give the M4 a more ‘out of the factory’ look while still looking equally aggressive as non-painted M Performance parts. Peeking through the black iND Kidney Grilles a hint of red can be seen. Featuring the new Macht Schnell Intake Charge Scoops, this M4 has increased airflow to the intakes as the air is quite literally charging through the kidney grilles and being grabbed by the aggressive shape of the intakes. Finishing off the black and white color combo, this M4 sits on Vorsteiner V-FF 102 Wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires, 275/30/ZR20 Front, and 295/30/ZR20 Rear.

  8. M4 Convertible Gets a Full Akra Set-Up & More

When this M4 came to our shop for its appointment, it was bone stock with exception to the trunk mounted Aeromotion carbon fiber wing. Once it was on our lift we proceeded to install a full Akrapovic exhaust set-up, which included the Evolution titanium system along with the stainless steel catless downpipes. K&N performance air filters and a JB4 tuner were then installed under the hood to maximize this convertible's power output. Next we installed an RKP carbon fiber rear diffuser, which compliments the Akrapovic carbon fiber exhaust tips nicely, along with the M Performance carbon fiber front splitters & lip. You might notice that this F83 retains its chrome trim and orange reflectors; that's because the owner was explicitly focused on maximizing the car's power and aerodynamics instead of its exterior cosmetics. While this M4 convertible probably won't appeal to the more conservative BMW enthusiast, there's certainly no denying that it must be a blast to drive around Southern California. Enjoy.

  9. Carbon Fiber Exhaust & Diffuser Combo on an M4 Convertible

This Black Sapphire F83 is the first M4 convertible that we've had at our shop! Having been equipped with the BMW M Performance titanium exhaust system with carbon fiber tips, it was only logical to add diffuser. We went ahead and installed the RKP diffuser in a 2x2 carbon fiber weave, which matches the beautiful M Performance tips quite nicely. Next, we installed a set of gloss black kidney grille surrounds, some iND painted reflectors and painted keyhole cover to give this convertible a blacked-out look. With it's sleek style, aggressive rear end and a 6SPD manual transmission, this convertible is one seriously sweet M car. Enjoy.

  10. Akrapovic Exhaust Systems for F80 M3 & F82 M4

Akrapovic has been teasing us with these photos and videos of their titanium exhaust systems for the new F8X M3 & M4. If we've learned anything from installing the dozens of Akrapovic exhausts on E9X M3s, E82 1Ms, F10 M5s and F13 M6s, it's that Akrapovic's systems are more like jewelery than just regular car parts. The quality, fit and finish are top notch; absolutely second to none. And because they're completely made from titanium, they produce their own unique sound and save a bunch of weight compared to other steel systems. All the same will definitely be true for the M3/M4 line-up, which consists of a slip-on version, a full version (Evolution), stainless steel catless downpipes and even a carbon fiber diffuser! As always, customers will be able to choose between titanium tips or carbon fiber tips at no additional cost.

We're sure we'll be installing quite a few of these new Akrapovic systems when they're released in the near future, but for now, these teaser photos and videos will have to do. Enjoy!
