KW Coilovers are the go-to suspension upgrade for many of our customers who are upgrading either from stock or basic lowering springs. With proven motorsport pedigree, it's hard to go wrong with nay of KW's quality offerings. Their Version 3 (V3) Coilovers are an especilaly popular option due to features such as independently adjustable damping technology - rebound and compression damping.
The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup for different uses and preferences. The unique patented system with its two-stage valves allows a rebound damping adjustment (comfort) and a compression adjustment (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range while the high-speed range which controls the driving safety, is fixed.
As far it is vehicle-specifically possible, the rebound damping is adjusted by a spindle at the end of the piston rod. Mainly, the traction phase (rebound) controls car body vibrations and also influences handling and comfort in the low-speed damping range. By using the traction phase adjustment, the vehicle can be adapted to the requirements of the driver. Moreover the driving behavior can be regulated from comfortably rolling to sporty and tense with improved road holding characteristics.
The compression phase adjustment is carried out at the lower end of the shock absorber via our patented multi-purpose valve. The large number of pre-set parameters of this valve allows for a wide range of adjustment for individual use. The unique low-speed compression adjustment significantly distinguishes this technology from any other. In this compression range, the driving behavior of the vehicle is drastically influenced. An increase of the damping power supports the vehicle already during compression and therefore avoids rolling and pitching. The directional stability is significantly improved.
Other features include:
- "inox-line" stainless steel technology
- Individual height adjustment
- German TUV-tested adjustment parameters
- High-quality components for long life
- Comprehensive documentation for ease of use
- Infinitely adjustable rebound damping
- 14- level adjustable compression damping
- Unique, independently functioning damping power adjustment
A couple weeks ago we installed an ESS VT2-625 supercharger system and a set of HRE wheels on this Alpine White M3. Yesterday it returned for an exhaust upgrade. Wanting only the best products for his E92, this customer opted for the Akrapovic Evolution titanium exhaust system, which features high-flow cats, an incredibly lightweight design and an exotic exhaust note. After completing the installation, we strapped this supercharged coupe to our dyno to see if it picked up any additional power. With the stock exhaust system this M3 previously recorded 537whp and 350wtq; with the Akrapovic, it recorded 562whp and 365wtq for a gain of 25whp and 15wtq! This single modification improved almost every aspect of this E92, including weight, sound, looks and power. Check out the video below to hear this beastly M3 in action. Enjoy!
Featuring classic spoke styling, FlowForm construction and a range of aggressive fitment options, the HRE FF01 is one of the the most popular wheels that we sell. This Interlagos Blue M3 sedan proudly shows off a set of these FF01 wheels in a Liquid Silver finish. Combined with the lowered ride height provided by a set of KW V3 coilovers, an iND painted cosmetic package and an M Performance spoiler and exhaust, this E90 M3 is as clean and elegant as they come. Enjoy!
A couple years ago we installed an ESS VT2-600 supercharger system on this Space Gray M3. This week it returned to our facility for some additional power and a new set of wheels. In the time since this E92 was originally supercharged, ESS replaced the VT2-600 system with the VT2-625 system; by installing a new pulley, belt, injectors and tune, we successfully converted this older system into a VT2-625. Next, we wrapped a beautiful set of matte black HRE FF01 FlowForm wheels in some Michelin PSS tires and bolted them on for a completely new look. The exterior is adorned with BMW's carbon fiber front splitters and trunk spoiler, while an iND painted cosmetic package tidies up all the loose ends. Still maintaining the OEM suspension, this daily driven M3 is as comfortable, fast and stylish as ever. Enjoy.
Having been to our shop before for some other modifications, this Mineral Gray M4 returned for a bit of additional carbon fiber. On the inside we installed the BMW M Performance carbon fiber DCT shifter knob in conjunction with the carbon fiber and Alcantara console trim, both of which perfectly match the rest of the carbon fiber interior trim. Continuing to the exterior, we then installed the M Performance carbon fiber trunk spoiler. We really love this piece; it's sharp, elegant and instantly gives the F82 an aggressive, sporty style. Enjoy.
We just installed a set of these matte black HRE FF01 wheels on this stock CLA45 AMG. We love the look! The beautiful matte black finish creates a sharp contrast against the white paint, while the elegant spoke design flows nicely with the car's lines. Take a look below and see for yourself.
This Mineral Gray M4 features a set of the popular HRE FF01 FlowForm wheels in 20" fitment. Powdercoated in a "Fog" finish, these matte gray wheels are manufactured using a unique casting and forming process that obtains strengths similar to a forged wheel. Combined with the H&R sport lowering springs, these wheels perfectly fill out the F82's fender arches and provide a clean, sporty stance. Gloss black kidney grilles, painted reflectors and side markers clean up the exterior while a BMW M Performance carbon fiber DCT shift knob adds a bit of flair to the interior. This M4 also makes a bit more noise than the rest, thanks to the Magnaflow's prototype stainless steel muffler. Enjoy.
