  1. Mecedes-Benz SLS 63 AMG on our Dyno

When we scheduled this SLS 63 AMG for a dyno session, we were expecting it to be an understated Mercedes color. Something like silver, black, burgundy red, etc. Instead we were surprised with this extraordinary Austin Yellow-like metallic finish, which blew our minds when we were told it was a vinyl wrap. It has to be, by far, the highest quality wrap we've ever seen; even up close and in person it's really hard to believe it isn't a paint job. Like most of the BMWs we see here, this SLS had all of it's chrome exterior trim pieces painted gloss black for a sleek and aggressive style. It's been lowered on a set of KW V3 coilovers and fitted with a set of ADV.1 forged wheels, which have been wrapped with some truly massive 375/20/21 tires in the rear. Performance wise, this AMG features an ECU tune and headers by Weistec Engineering along with a custom valvetronic exhaust system. And yes, it is loud. On our dyno, this naturally aspirated beast put down 539hp and 453ft-lbs torque at the wheels! We shot plenty of video footage and photos so you could drool over this car as much as we did when it was here. Enjoy!

  2. S54 Powered E36 M3 on the Dyno

As an M3 enthusiast, if you saw this particular E36 on the street, you'd probably be impressed with the condition it's in. After all, this M3 is pushing 18 years and yet it still has its glossy black paint, a clean interior and its original 17" wheels. However, nothing about this car would lead you to believe that it's hiding something special under its hood: an S54 power plant. Taken from an E46 M3, the high-revving 3.2L engine and 6-speed manual transmission have been seamlessly transplanted into this E36 for a huge increase in performance. On the dyno, this car proved it by recording a healthy 293whp, which is substantially more than the 240 crank hp of the original S50 engine! After the dyno session we had the opportunity to corner balance this M3, dialing in a perfect 50/50 weight distribution.

  4. Macht Schnell Motorsport Headers Installed on MFEST Widebody E46 M3

MFEST founder "laidback" brought his Carbon Black E46 M3 to us to get the new Macht Schnell Motorsport Performance Headers installed. With dyno runs performed before and after the installation, we saw a 20hp increase to the wheels and increased power across the entire rev range. What's next for this custom widebody M3? Possibly some forced induction!
