  3. E9X Exhaust Shootout!

Saturday morning on November 14, 2015, European Auto Source served as host to an E9X Meet and Exhaust Shootout! M3 owners from various regions attended the event either rolling in on their own or with a caravan formed at the crack of dawn and taking a nice, low traffic, morning cruise to the event. M3s of all colors and builds were in attendance ranging from full stock to intense race or show builds. Beginning the event with the revving of an E93 with a stock system, the benchmark was set for all the exhaust systems to come. Megan Racing catback and axleback systems seemed to be a favorite but systems from a wide range of manufactures were present. These manufacturers included RPI, IPE, Megan Racing, M Performance, Akrapovic, Macht Schnell, Turner, Active, Meisterchaft, Dinan, Eisenmann, Magnaflow, Unique, ARK, TopSpeed, Challenge, Armytrix, Remus, and American Racing.

After hearing all the cars from both parked and rolling positions, it’s hard to decide just what exhaust would be the choice option. Each system is unique and delivers different performance, sound, and looks. Stay tuned for an exhaust comparison video!

  4. Estoril Blue F30 328i

An Estoril Blue BMW isn’t a very common sight, let alone this specific 328i, as it has modifications that make it quite the unique car. Wearing VMR V803 Wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 Tires as its shoes, the provided color flows very neutral with the Estoril Blue. The wheels don’t take attention away from the gorgeous deep blue, but are also noticeable and provide an aggressive appearance. Adding even more aggressive style to the F30 are the M Performance Front Splitters, Lip, and Trunk Spoiler.

  5. Alpine White M3 Shows Off Its New Remus Exhaust

The stock exhaust sounded a bit too tame for the owner of this F80 M3. To remedy his issue, we installed a Remus Sport Full Exhaust System to bring out a more powerful exhaust note. The 5mm wider stainless steel X-pipe and connecting pipes eliminates the front silencer and secondary catalytic convertors. As a result of this deletion, the S55 engine is able to produce more of a roar. Of the four different tip styles to choose from, this car went with the black chrome / carbon fiber, style which provides a nice contrast against the Alpine White paint. Here are some photos we took of the installation. Enjoy!

  6. Sakhir Orange M4 with a Remus Exhaust

This stock M4 came to our shop searching for a louder exhaust. Wanting something with a deep tone, clean looks and at a reasonable price point, the natural choice for this F82 was the new Remus sport slip-on exhaust system. This particular exhaust system features the matte finish carbon fiber quad tips, which offer the perfect amount of contrast against the vibrant Sakhir Orange paint. After we installed the exhaust we then plugged in the Macht Schnell EVC module, which allows for full on-the-fly operation of the exhaust valves. Now this M4 can be quiet and civilized when it needs to be, but with the single press of a button it will unleash its inner beast. Enjoy.

  8. Remus Sport Exhaust System for F8X M3 & M4

Remus presents a brand new, unique exhaust option for the F8X M3 & M4. The 5mm wider stainless steel X-pipe and connecting pipe eliminates the front silencer and secondary catalytic convertors. This deletion adds a rumble to the S55 engine and simultaneously amplifies the turbo spool to make it a distinct part of the powerful exhaust note. The rear muffler construction is inclusive of laser-cut brackets to mount the F8X M3/M4 exhaust valves and controllers from the OEM unit. This design seamlessly integrates the F8X Sport and Sport + settings with the REMUS unit and allows for the dynamic valves to open based on engine RPM and the driver selected Sport mode setting.

The system is available in an axle-back configuration which includes only the rear silencer & tips or as a full down-pipe back system inclusive of X-pipe and connecting pipe. There are four different tip options, allowing you to customize the look of the exhaust for your individual car. Watch the video below to hear this new exhaust in action!
