The E52 BMW Z8 roadster (1999-2003) is quite the rare sight, being sold in low volume from 2000-2006. The all-aluminum chassis and body housing a 4.9L 32-valve V8 was priced fairly high at a stunning $128,000. Sharing the power plant of the E39 M5, the S62 motor was capable of 400hp and 370 lb-ft of torque. BMW strategically placed the engine behind the front axle in order to achieve a 50/50 weight distribution. The Z8 was a production variant of the 1997 Z07 concept car; the resemblance can be seen quite easily.
