The evolution of the Nitron range is here! By combining our world renowned Nitron quality and obsessive attention to detail with the latest in electronic valve technology – we present to you, elec-TRON.
The elec-TRON R3 coilover kit combines the Nitron proportional solenoid valve with independent manual compression control. R3 kits include our adjustable top mounts and race springs, and are designed for drivers looking to extract the most performance potential from their car on road or track. Piggyback or remotely mounted reservoirs allow for quick and simple independent adjustment of both high and low speed compression, while the DCU handles active overall damping adjustment.
We’ve embraced our technological age and packed a ton of modern tech into this new range of dampers. It all starts with our very own Proportional Solenoid Valve. Each shock in the elec-TRON system is equipped with its own valve, allowing for precise, controlled adjustments within the damping system. With individual valves, each shock maintains independent damping control, resulting in optimized handling, stability and comfort. Everything is at play when it comes to elec-TRON, as the computer is monitoring g-load, vehicle speed, road condition and driver inputs, and making changes down every six milliseconds. Yes, you read that correctly. To put it in perspective, it takes around 100-150 milliseconds for the human eye to blink…
Nitron Integrated DCU Control (M2 Competition)
For the M2 Competititon - the Nitron DCU allows you to transform your damper setup from passive damping to a semi-active system. Nitron’s elec-TRON proportional solenoid valve is continually adjusting damping levels every 6 milliseconds while the DCU is receiving information and dictating valve position based on braking, cornering and accelerating loads.
- Arm Cortex-M4 processor
- Independent control of 4 electronic dampers
- 3 static maps
- 3 active maps (acceleration, braking & yaw)
- 3 axis accelerometer
- 3 axis gyroscope
- 200Hz damping control rate
- Configured for application location and settings
The Nitron DCU brings your car to the future, optimizing grip and comfort while you drive. An adjustable control knob is connected to the DCU itself, giving drivers access to pre-installed damping maps for their specific vehicle, including Rain, Touring, Sport and Race maps. Regardless, damping is constantly optimized on any map, but overall damping levels are determined by map selection, ranging from softest to stiffest for the given situation and surface condition.
Nitron OEM EDC Integration (M2 CS only)
For the M2 CS that comes equipped with factory-installed electronic damping system (EDC), Nitron elec-TRON dampers are a direct bolt-in upgrade, seamlessly integrating into your OEM computer, offering advanced damping control over stock. All of the factory features function as intended, just with some trick new hardware underneath the car.
R3 Coilover Kit
The elec-TRON R1 coilover kit utilizes the Nitron proportional solenoid valve with all damping control being carried out by the DCU. This kit includes our adjustable top mounts and race springs, which gives all the adjustment range of the R3 kit, minus independent compression adjustment and remote reservoirs. The R1 kit is a stellar performer, with all its hardware trickling down from our R3 kits in an easy-to-use package with tons of value.
