Nitron - elec-TRON ER1 Coilover Suspension Kit - Toyota GR Supra
The NTR R1 system offers unrivaled performance and value with a design that gives drivers a wide range of effective, easy to use damping control.
2-Way combined damping adjustment. Developed from our full race suspension and sharing many components with the R3 system, the R1 offers exceptional performance, reliability and value for both road and track use. Widely praised by drivers around the world and respected for out-performing considerably more expensive suspension kits.
R1 kits provide uncompromising quality, reliability and performance without the need for a remote canister. Fade-resistant and hand built with ultra-low friction components, the R1 shock is made to last on the road and track. The high-grade materials protect against corrosion whilst reducing weight. Every R1 kit is custom built, sprung and fully serviceable. Titanium and hard-anodized parts are hand built to last not only season after season, but also the harshest of winters.
Nitron elec-TRON Range
The Nitron elec-TRON system combines our proven suspension engineering with precision electronic valve control to deliver exceptional handling, stability, and ride comfort. At its core is Nitron’s proprietary proportional solenoid valve, allowing independent adjustment of compression and rebound damping at each wheel. This enables the suspension to react instantly to changing conditions, with a rapid 6-8 millisecond response time and a wide adjustment range of 300 to 1800 mA. The system continually adjusts damping force based on inputs such as g load, vehicle speed, road surface, and driver control, resulting in a highly responsive and confidence inspiring drive.
Nitron Damper Control Unit (DCU)
The Nitron DCU transforms your damper setup from passive to semi-active damping. By processing real-time data on braking, cornering, and acceleration loads, the DCU monitors the car’s attitude and through complex algorithms, adjusts the Proportional Solenoid Valve every six milliseconds, optimising grip and comfort.
Nitron DCU Features
- Adjustable control knob connected to the DCU
- Pre-installed damping calibration files tailored to your vehicle: Rain, Touring, Sport, and Race using adaptive technology
- Continuous damping optimization within the selected calibration file, offering a range from soft to firm for varying conditions
Nitron DCU Specifications
- Arm Cortex-M4 processor
- Independent control of 4 electronic dampers
- 3 static maps
- 3 active maps (acceleration, braking & yaw)
- 3 axis accelerometer
- 3 axis gyroscope
- 200Hz damping control rate
- Configured for application location and settings
In conjunction with the Nitron elec-TRON ER1 coilover kit, the DCU brings your vehicle into the future, ensuring peak performance and adaptability.
Nitron “Fast Road” Spec
A road-biased performance setup with enough capability for occasional track use. Designed for drivers who are primarily on public roads with occasional track use, emphasizing comfort while still being performance-oriented.
Fast Road Core characteristics
- Driver Profile: 80% street/20% track
- Softer spring rates
- Softer damper valving
- More compliance over bumps/street imperfections
- Works well at near OEM ride height or mild drop
- Prioritizes ride quality + usable grip on imperfect roads
- Intended use: Daily driving/canyon runs or occasional HPDE or track day (few times per year)
Nitron “Track Day” Spec
A track-focused setup that sacrifices comfort for control and performance. More focused on track performance with stiffer springs + valving and lowered ride height. This is where the car starts to feel “on edge” (in a good way on track) but can be harsher on the street.
Track Day Core characteristics
- Driver Profile: 50%+ track/aggressive street
- Stiffer spring rates
- More aggressive damper valving
- Better body control, braking stability, and transition response
- Less forgiving on rough roads
- Intended use: Frequent track days and Aggressive driving/pushing the limit and for drivers prioritizing lap time over comfort
Features
- Height adjustable (F/R: 10-35mm)
- Fully serviceable design for long-term use
- 24 clicks combined compression and rebound adjustment
- All alloy construction
- Front Adjustable Camber Plates included
- Adjustable Swaybar End Links included
- Nitron Springs & Helper springs included
Specifications
- Gas pressurized monotube damper
- Full Alloy Body construction
- 46/22mm Front Piston, 40/14mm Rear Piston design
- Nitrogen Gas Charged
Code Isolator Kit not included (available separately). Vehicles originally equipped with EDC will require Nitron NTR Electronic Damping Delete Kit or have EDC option coded off to prevent errors.
