VTT invested months into developing and testing this innovative design, putting over 10 different prototypes through rigorous evaluation. The final production hub proved so robust that it actually broke their testing rig before showing any signs of slipping. The hub has been thoroughly bench-tested and validated in real-world conditions on the VTT N54 race car, where it performs flawlessly while spinning 8,000 RPM and handling well over 900 WHP.
The beauty of the Splinelock design is its simplicity and reversibility. Installation is identical to a stock hub—no drilling required. This means significantly less labor during installation and the ability to remove the hub later without leaving any permanent marks on your crank. Your engine remains completely unmodified.
The Splinelock technology is engineered to work exclusively with the VTT Crank Bolt Capture (CBC). These components are designed as a system and should be used together for optimal performance and reliability. The optional install kit includes all necessary dust covers, gaskets, and seals, ensuring everything is ready for a smooth installation.
VTT Splinelock crank hubs are CNC-manufactured from premium 440C tool steel with a Rockwell hardness rating of HRC60, delivering exceptional durability and toughness for demanding driving conditions.
