KMP - Racing Steering Wheel - Toyota A90 Supra ^Sale

KMP has designed aftermarket racing wheels to replace the original OEM steering wheel. Vehicles which have a DCT/ATX Transmission controlled by paddles, are often used for trackdays or club-level racing. The original steering wheel has normally an airbag and is designed for driver comfort. To meet the racing requirements, KMP has developed racing steering wheels for several BMW models, and now bringing to Supra.

KMP Racing Steering Wheel Advantage

• Better grip and feedback for driver: The 330mm three-spoke Suede steering wheel is designed for motorsport usage. The paddles give a solid feedback when pressed.
• Additional buttons: The sandwich plate has additional buttons which can be used for radio communication or any other function. All electronics are designed for the harsh environment of motorsport.
• Replaceable and reversible: Due to the plug and play design, the original steering wheel can be refitted without problem.
• Quick release: With the quick release adapter the steering wheel can be removed using just a single hand.
• No warnings from ECU or controller: Fully CAN-integrated, the plug and play kit will avoid any change on error messages from the ECU or controller. The vehicle electronics will not notice a different steering wheel or an airbag missing.

If an OEM steering wheel is removed, there will be several errors active. The racing wheel has specially developed electronics inside which simulate the OEM wheel with the possibility to take over some original functions such as M-Sport or horn.

Adapter Options

The KMP Toyota A90 Supra Racing Steering Wheel is standard equipped with a 44mm spacer. It is possible to replace the spacer with an optional quick release adapter at additional costs. Both Spacer/Quick Release will have a curly cable between the steering wheel and the hub. A Quick Release with Integrated Connector can also be selected.

Free to use buttons
A ‘free to use’ button can be used for anything you want. These buttons are switched to ground, and can be used with the supplied flying leads. The flying leads are connected into the back of the slip ring (dashboard side). Connect an external timer, flash light or anything you would like to control directly from your racing wheel. The wiring for each custom function needs to be done by the customer. The plug and play solution makes sure there are no ECU error messages and no airbag light will turn on after installation.

The KMP Racing Steering Wheel is completely plug and play and therefore easy to install with various options available.

* These buttons need some small extra wiring done, which is described in the manual.

Function Names
The function names will be laser engraved in the steering wheel. If the additional functions on the ‘Free to Use’ switches are already known, please add this as a note to the order. If the Free to Use function names are not supplied at order, there will not by any engraving at these switch positions.
