Verus developed a solution that not only alleviates the wind buffeting but looks spectacular as well. Our wind deflectors attach easily with 3M VHB Double-Sided Tape. The units are produced from multiple pieces of pre-preg carbon that are bonded together and then clear coated in an automotive high gloss finish.

During the development phase, Verus used scan data obtained in-house on their shop car to ensure proper contouring of the units to the side mirror bases. Also utilizing CFD to ensure the units would work as intended but also did not cause unnecessary drag and disruption to other aerodynamic devices.

Science
The buffeting is caused by airflow around the A-Pillar of the G87 BMW M2 attaching and detaching while the windows are down. This causes pressure waves to build in the cabin of the vehicle and the noise we all hate with the windows down.
