This Edition 50 Jahre G80 M3 Competition xDrive barely left the dealer lot before stopping by our shop. Painted in Cinnabar Red (Zinnoberrot) with a clear matte protective film, this M3 definitely had a unique look! The classic red-orange hue is usually an Individual color but is one of the standard colors on the Edition 50 Jahre model along with Techno Violet, Inteerlagos Blue, Fire Orange III and Limerock Grey.
KW V3 Coilovers and Millway Motorsport Street Camber Plates were first on the list to get installed. The KW V3s are a popular tried-and-true option that allow a wide range of height and damper adjustability, making the car highly adaptable to a wide variety of conditions. The Milllway Camber Plates allow more for aggressive camber up front (adjustable from 0-20mm). These are the street version which feature polyurethane bushings for less NVH. A Femto DME unlock was also performed. Macht Schnell Competition Wheel Spacers (12mm front, 15mm rear) were also installed to push out the OEM wheels to be flush with the fenders.
On the exterior, a facelift was performed with Autotecknic Dry Carbon V1 Front Grilles. These kidney grilles are equipped with unibody carbon mounting tabs on the grille to ensure you a secure installation not seen by other manufacturers.
Dry carbon is the highest-quality version of carbon fiber products that are produced. Dry carbon fiber's name comes from its manufacturing process. Dry carbon fiber is formed by using a "pre-preg" or impregnated piece of carbon materials. This piece of carbon is first placed into a mold and then into a sealed vacuum (autoclave) to cure appropriately. This method creates the least amount of waste and forms a lighter version of carbon than the "wet" method.
