DME Bench Unlock for MDG1 Series DME (7/2020+) - BMW
Now offering Permanent Bench Unlock, provided by EAS in-house. No more sending DMEs to Finland as unlocking can be performed in-house on the spot.
Once your DME is unlocked, this enables OBD based tuning. This is required beforehand for such platforms as Bootmod3, and MHD Tuning through the OBD2 Port.
The following DME8/DDE8 are covered:
- Bosch MD1CP032 TC299 (BMW & Alpina)
- Bosch MD1CS001 TC298 (BMW & Mini)
- Bosch MG1CS024 TC298 (BMW, Mini, & Alpina)
- Bosch MG1CS049 TC298 (BMW & Alpina)
- Bosch MG1CS201 TC298 (BMW, Mini, Toyota, Alpina)
(Gas 1.5T, 2.0T, 3.0T, 4.4T & 6.75L and Diesel 1.5D, 2.0D, & 3.0D engines)
Unlocking Process Outline
- Permanent DME Unlock. If overwritten from dealer by mistake, can be re-unlocked at our facility
- For vehicles serviced in-house, this includes DME removal and re-installation
- Remove your DME from your vehicle
- Mail your DME to our facility for preparation
- Reinstall DME in your vehicle, remember to turn off OTA updates
- Flash with your preferred Flash Tune

MHD Unlock
Unlocks and applies MHD’s latest custom code (map switch, anti lag, flex fuel, live tuning, Reflex integration, TCU limiter removal and much more) for all S58 vehicles. Before sending in your DME please connect to your MHD app and press the "Unlock Check" button to verify your software version is supported for MHD+ features, otherwise contacting MHD support is required.
Note: charge is per DME, meaning V8 Customers will be subject to two Unlock charges.
