SMG to 6-Speed Manual Conversion For BMW E46 M3

The SMG (Sequential Manual Gearbox) was released in 2001 and was pretty high-tech in its day. However, they were not very reliable and can be extremely costly to fix, especially if the hydraulic pump has failed. BMW produced SMG is rather high numbers, making them relatively easy to find on the used market.

Most owners prefer the 6MT nowadays for it's simplicity and traditional feel. We offer a Manual conversion package for your M3, making your M3 a real driver's car. As 6MT M3s demand a premium, this is one of the few mods in which can increase desirability for your M3 on the open market, in most cases covering the cost of the conversion.

Vehicle Order is properly updated to factory spec and cannot be accidentally overwritten by dealer. 

All parts used are Original BMW, with some sourced from original BMW suppliers. When completed, the 6MT conversion will have no differentiation as if offered from the dealer with a much more enjoyable driving experience.
